Let’s face it, we all could use some motivation in our lives.
As someone who frequently puts everyone else’s thoughts and feelings before myself, I frequently have to remind myself of this.
If I could go back in time, I would tell this to my 10, 16, 18, and 20-year-old self. There were too many times when I was younger that I abandoned my dreams, my hopes, or my desires sheerly due to the opinions of others. It wasn’t until the past year or so that I realized I needed to stop wondering where my life could’ve been if I had done what I wanted and, instead, just do the things that make me happy. Life’s too short to play the what if game with all of my decisions.
Today I challenge you to do one thing that you know will make you happy.
Forget what others have to say. If laying in bed and binge-watching The Office for the tenth time will make you happy then do it. If spending the whole day on a photography trip will make you happy then do it. Don’t think about others, just do what’ll make you happy…unless what makes you happy causes harm to yourself or others. Please don’t go out and murder people. That’s just not cool.
